Remembering our veterans on Memorial Day

Joe and I went to a celebration this Memorial day at a US military cemetary just outside Cambridge.  Joe wore his formal dress "blues" and the event was really moving.  I'm really proud of Joe for being a part of the military and serving his country in such a meaningful way.

Trip to Greenwich and Prague

The weather in the UK has started to round the corner into summer and its really becoming beautiful outside!  Flowers are blooming, sun is shining and yet people (like myself) are still very pale.  Joe and I are testing out one of these new spray-tanners today, so we'll keep you posted :)

In the meantime, we've take 2 weekend trips - one a local trip via boat to Greenwich (where the center line for longitude and time is globally).  It was a pretty trip, a nice park, and a cool thing to see so next time I have visitors I'll probably take them there too.  We used that same London Walks book that took us on a tour of Chelsea the other weekend and it didn't disappoint.  Those walks always seem to show you something special.

Last weekend we took a quick trip to Prague (Saturday to Monday).  We took a cool jazz boat cruise of Vltava river complete with dinner the first night.  The next day, we walked all around the city, up to the castle, around the gardens and such and then took another one of those Segway tours of the city.  It was lead by a bunch of stoner-hippies so they were like 45 minutes late getting started.  Our tour guide added no value - pointing to buildings like a church and saying - "this a Church - its name is <>" and then moving on.  That much we could tell - thanks.
